Armenia in Bloom: A Conversation on Botanical Biodiversity

  • Date: October 22
  • Time: 11:00
  • Location: VERNATOUN powered by Keron

During the days of COP17, VERNATOUN welcomes Tamar Galstyan, botanist, photographer, and author of “A Field Guide to the Plants of Armenia,” for a conversation dedicated to the remarkable richness and diversity of Armenia’s flora.

Through years of fieldwork and research, Tamar has explored and documented Armenia’s plant life in depth, developing a unique understanding of the country’s landscapes and plant species.

Together, we will discuss what makes Armenia’s botanical diversity so distinctive, why biodiversity matters, the relationship between people and nature, and the knowledge, care, and attention needed to preserve this natural heritage.
